Association Web site wins APEX award

DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — The Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Authority of northern Illinois, a non-profit trade association, recently won a national APEX Award for its Web site, created and maintained by Copresco, a technology firm, Carol Stream, Ill.

DOWNERS GROVE, ILL. — The Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Authority of northern Illinois, a non-profit trade association, recently won a national APEX Award for its Web site, created and maintained by Copresco, a technology firm, Carol Stream, Ill.

APEX Awards are presented to companies annually by the editors of Writing That Works, a national newsletter published by Communications Concepts Inc.

Alison Flury, Another Plumbing Co., Minooka, Ill.; Debbie Schimanski, staff member, and S. J. Peters, executive director, Plumbing and Mechanical Contractors Authority of northern Illinois, Downers Grove, Ill.; Chip Ashby, Harding Heating & Air Conditioning, Schaumburg, Ill.; Ray Turner, Lenert Plumbing, Naperville, Ill.; Dick Kuhn, R. J. Kuhn Plumbing & Heating Inc. Oswego, Ill.; Tom Hagerty, Hagerty & Son Inc. Montgomery, Ill.; and Steve Johnson, president of Copresco were all present to receive the award.

The APEX Awards competition is in its 21st year. Created for writers, editors, publications staff, and business and nonprofit communicators, the awards are given in 97 communications categories in 11 groups. Awards are based on content, usability and overall communications excellence in corporate, nonprofit and independent settings.
