CSI introduces on-demand professional development Webinars

ALEXANDRIA, Va.  – The Construction Specifications Institute has unveiled the latest addition to its educational offerings: CSI On-Demand Webinars. The Webcast sessions provide learning opportunities 24 hours a day, seven days a week, at an affordable price for design and construction professionals.  CSI On-Demand Webinars allow participants to see the course materials and hear an expert instructor online. Courses qualify for CSI Continuing Education Units (CEUs) and AIA Learning Units (LUs).  

"CSI is pleased to expand its educational program to include On-Demand Webinars," said CSI Executive Director and CEO Walter Marlowe, P.E., CSI, CAE. "This new resource provides industry professionals with the opportunity to take CSI continuing education courses at their convenience."  

Currently, CSI is offering the following webinars on demand:  
Climate Change + Energy Initiatives Series
Writing Effective LEED Specifications
Integrating Specifications and BIM
Fundamentals of Construction Specifications

Additional courses are added regularly. CSI On-Demand Webinars are being introduced with an introductory price: members pay just $25 per Webinar through June 30, 2009, while non-members pay $45 per Webinar through June 30, 2009. CSI is a national association dedicated to creating standards and formats to improve construction documents and project delivery. Its members are a cross-section of specifiers, architects, engineers, contractors and building materials suppliers. The organization has 146 chapters and more than 14,000 members.
