INDIANA, PA - Schaedler Yesco Distribution, Inc. (SYD) and APR Supply Company (APR) are proud to announce the expansion of their joint venture business model into the Indiana marketplace by fall of 2012. SYD, who currently has a branch on Airport Road in Indiana, will move its operation to 2060 Shelly Drive to complete the co-location between APR and SYD.
With the addition of Indiana, Schaedler Yesco (electrical supplies) and APR Supply Company (plumbing & HVAC supplies) now share eleven (11) multi-distributor facilities throughout Pennsylvania, seven of which contain two partners and four that include an additional business partner, Industrial Piping Systems (pipe, valve, and fitting supplies).
This business model is the first of its kind in Pennsylvania and specifically the wholesale distribution industry. Customers oftentimes make purchases from each of the two distributors already so now they can find a large assortment of material needed for projects in one convenient location, experiencing a level of customer service that surpasses competition.
Both independent distributors are locally-owned and headquartered in Central Pennsylvania. The first multi-distributor building was opened by the joint venture in October 2006 in Chambersburg, PA and has grown continually ever since.
