FT. WORTH, TEXAS — Quietside Corp. announced that William E. Rau has joined its operations effective Sept. 1, 2013, as president of Quiestside’s HVAC division. He will oversee all aspects of Quietside’s HVAC business.
Rau brings almost 30 years of HVAC industry experience to Quietside. Most recently Rau was the president of Watsco Environmental Solutions and oversaw the VRF product categories for both Carrier Enterprise and Watsco Inc. Before that, Rau was the first non-Japanese top executive for Mitsubishi Electric HVAC (MELCO) in the U.S. and was responsible for growing MELCO’s business from $16 million to over $400 million during his 19+-year tenure. When he left MELCO, Rau was the highest performing general manager for MELCO in its worldwide operations and was overseeing 270 employees (there were only 16 employees when he joined MELCO in 1993).
“Bill is a seasoned executive with a proven track record, who will bring the critical skills and experience to take Quietside into the next stage of its growth,” said Sang W. Lee, the founder and chairman of the board of Quietside.

Founded in 1998 with headquarters in Southern California, and locations in Carlisle, Pa., and Ft. Worth, Texas, Quietside focuses on selling energy efficient HVAC systems and related solutions. Quietside is the master distributor for North America of Samsung Mini Splits, Samsung DVM Plus III VRF system, Samsung DVM-S Inverter VRF System (both HR and HP type) together with Quietside and Coaire Mini Splits.
