Egan Adds Chief Engineer to Company Roster

Mechanical contractor and fabricator Andy J. Egan Co. (Egan) has hired Ken Van Putten, P.E., LEED AP, CGD, as the company’s Chief Engineer.

GRAND RAPIDS, MI. — Mechanical contractor and fabricator Andy J. Egan Co. (Egan) has hired Ken Van Putten, P.E., LEED AP, CGD, as the company’s Chief Engineer. In this newly created position, Van Putten will work with Egan’s engineering staff to enhance their design-build capabilities, for which the company is well known in West Michigan.

“Egan has grown significantly in recent years, and more projects are requiring expertise in design-build,” says Chris Brummel, engineering manager at Andy J. Egan. “Ken’s mechanical engineering experience and professional expertise make him an ideal candidate to lead our already stellar team of engineers in this critical area of business.”

Van Putten brings nearly three decades of experience in mechanical engineering to Egan, including the design of HVAC, piping, dust collection, industrial ventilation and other types of systems for industrial and commercial applications. A graduate of Calvin College, Van Putten earned his Professional Engineering License in 1990.
