ST. JOHN, NEW BRUNSWICK, CANADA — NY Thermal Inc. has determined that the condensate fitting located within Trinity wall-hung boilers may prematurely deteriorate. As NY Thermal Inc. cannot predict the occurrence of the anomaly the condensate fittings must be replaced immediately.

Models covered are all Trinity boilers manufactured between Nov. 28, 2005, and Jan. 8, 2007, or serial numbers greater than 06T-16000 must be upgraded.

The replacement involves the Trinity Ti 400 Safety Condensate Tee and the Trinity Ti 100-200 Safety Condensate Y. For Ti100’s through Ti200’s, contractors should use upgrade kit PN 83042-1.

If the condensate tee is whitish, it should be replaced.

For the Mandatory Condensate “Y” Upgrade, upgrade kit number PN 83042-1, NY Thermal Inc. has determined that the condensate Y located within the boiler may prematurely deteriorate, in applications where condensate acidity levels are unexplainably 20 times higher than normal. As NY Thermal Inc. cannot predict the occurrence of the anomaly all Y fittings must be replaced immediately.

Trinity boiler Models Ti100, Ti150, Ti150C, Ti200 and Ti200C manufactured between Nov. 28, 2005, and Jan. 8, 2007 must be inspected. Boilers using the “Black-Y” in the construction of the condensate drain must be upgraded to the “Whitish-Y” included in this kit. (For Ti400’s use upgrade kit PN 83037-1.) Parts Included are 83042 Replacement Condensate Y and 82139 Spare Gear Clamps.
