DALLAS — The American Fire Sprinkler Association will present an NFPA Standard 20 update webinar on Nov. 20, 2013, beginning at 11:00 a.m. CST.

This 90-minute webinar will outline the revisions to the 2013 edition of NFPA 20, Standard for the Installation of Stationary Pumps for Fire Protection, and will include a background discussion with technical substantiation of the changes and discussion of the impact of the more significant changes from a fire pump committee member perspective.  

Upon completion of this webinar, participants should be able to describe the 2013 edition revisions; and implement these changes in the design and layout of fire pump systems.

Presenter Hansford Stewart is the director of Global Marketing for A-C Fire Pump Systems. He has been with the company for 39 years.  Stewart serves as principal on the NFPA 20 Technical Committee, and on UL's Standard Technical Panel for UL 448 and 1247. In addition, he also serves on Factory Mutual's Advisory Board. 

Stewart conducts seminars around the world on NFPA 20 and NFPA 25, Standard for the Inspection, Testing, and Maintenance of Water-Based Fire Protection Systems. He has published several articles related to fire pump installations, testing, inspection, and maintenance requirements.

There is no charge for AFSA members to attend this webinar. However, there is a $15 fee for those wanting to receive 1.5 CPDs or .15 CEUs. The cost for non-members is $140.
