NORTH TONAWANDA, N.Y. — Ron Passafaro, president and CEO of ECR International, recently met with Mike Duffy, president of Irr Supply Centers, Inc., to honor Irr Supply as a Premier Partner and mark Irr’s 150th Anniversary.
Irr Supply is a wholesale distributor of plumbing, HVAC, refrigeration and electrical products throughout New York and Pennsylvania. Founded in 1864, Irr Supply operates 32 locations. The company purchases Dunkirk Boilers from ECR International.
Dunkirk Boilers have been manufactured in New York State since 1928 when Earle C. Reed established manufacturing facilities for cast iron boilers and radiators in Dunkirk and Utica, New York. ECR International was formed in 1999 as a merger of the original manufacturing companies and was named in his honor.
Ron Passafaro presented Mike Duffy with The Earle C. Reed Premier Partner Award in recognition of Irr Supply serving the industry for 150 years and for being an invaluable premier partner, representing Dunkirk boilers for more than 25 years.
Passafaro said, “Irr Supply’s expertise, service and support of our Dunkirk products throughout New York and Pennsylvania is immeasurable. Our 25 year relationship with Irr Supply Centers goes beyond business as the both companies share common values and a desire to have a positive impact on the communities in which we live and work.”
According to Duffy, Irr’s success is all about service. “We’re no better than anyone else,” said Duffy. “We are simply a goal-driven company always looking to improve. History isn’t as important as what’s going to happen tomorrow. We’re here trying to chart the future.”
Irr Supply is currently expanding its Western New York headquarters to add another 80,000-sq.ft. for extra warehouse space and the addition of a new training facility. Passafaro said, “We look forward to Irr Supply Centers continued success.”
ECR designs, manufacturers and markets hydronic and HVAC equipment for residential, commercial, institutional, and hospitality markets. ECR currently operates manufacturing facilities in Utica and Dunkirk, N.Y., offering boilers, hydronic controls, furnaces, ductless air conditioning systems, vertical packaged air conditioners and heat pumps and package terminal air conditioners under eight brand names.
