Not going to AHR? You’re crazy

Dec. 17, 2013
AHR hits NYC and the Javits Center January 21-23 2014, and you should make plans to be there. You owe it to yourself and to the future success of your business. Why, you ask? First, the AHR Show is expected to break attendance records in relation to previous shows held in the Northeast. The last show in New York back in 2008 was HUGE, but this one will be better! Why you should make the AHR Show a must-visit.

• Networking — Every trade show offers contractors the opportunity to network, But because of the size, scope and expected attendance, the show is in a class all by itself, in my opinion. Take some time to swap stories and information with fellow industry peers. The show fosters and element of idea sharing that could be instrumental in your own business practices.

• Exhibitors — More than 1,800 exhibitors will be on-hand, excited for your attention. The show feature nearly 2,000 leading manufacturers and suppliers from around the world showcasing hundreds of innovative new products to more than 55,000 industry professionals.

• New Products & Technology — Many manufacturers target this show for the release of their new products. This is a great opportunity to get one step ahead of your competition by getting up close and personal with some of the latest offerings.

• Seminars/Educational Tracks — Check out the seminars and educational sessions at AHR. The show features some of the best speakers in the HVACR industry. Don’t miss The Mechanical Town Hall on Tuesday, January 21 at high noon. The Fab Five is back — John Barba, Eric Aune, Dave Yates, Brian Nelson and Bob ‘Hot Rod’ Rohr will lead this roundtable discussion on the keys to business success in today’s economy. (* see below)

• It’s New York, baby! — One of the most dynamic cities in the world, New York is host to first-class entertainment and cuisine. The after-parties should be a blast!

* The Mechanical Town Hall will feature five of the best speakers in the industry. The Town Hall will start at 12 p.m. on Tuesday, January 21 at the convention center in room Room 1E03. This Q&A session will lend itself to audience participation as each speaker will lend their stories, experiences and expertise to the room. These speakers have been together on numerous panels in the past and have a unique comfort sharing the spotlight and stories with each other, and to the audience. Topics covered will include: the selling of energy efficient products; renewable energy, including solar, geothermal, etc.; embracing news methods and technology such as tool, boiler controls, mobile contracting, pipe joining, etc., selling and profitability in today's market; and social media. Don't miss this chance to learn from the best... seating is limited.
