TP Mechanical Selected as Finalist for Prestigious AGC Safety Award

TP Mechanical, a leading mechanical contractor, earned recognition in this year’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) organization. The Cincinnati-based company rose above 65 construction companies to take the National 2nd place Award in the Specialty Division and 1st place for the state of Ohio in the Safety Award category.
CINCINNATI, OHTP Mechanical, a leading mechanical contractor, earned recognition in this year’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards (CSEA) from the Associated General Contractors (AGC) organization. The Cincinnati-based company rose above 65 construction companies to take the National 2nd place Award in the Specialty Division and 1st place for the state of Ohio in the Safety Award category.“I credit the relentless dedication of every member of the TP Mechanical team. That’s a powerful testament to the commitment of our people,” said Bill Riddle, president of TP Mechanical.The AGC’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards program recognizes construction companies that have developed and implemented premier safety and loss-prevention programs. A panel of judges in the industry examines each candidate’s commitment to safety, occupational health management and risk control, as well as continuous improvement and maintenance of their current safety and health management systems.“The AGC’s Construction Safety Excellence Awards program is the most elite in the industry, so it was quite an honor to receive these awards,” said Rick Absher, Safety Director. “Due to our work force’s daily commitment to our core value, Safety first, always first, our jobsites are the safest in the Midwest.”
ACG chapters across the country submit nominations to the AGC of America for the CSEA division and occupational categories. The Ohio chapter held a state-wide competition to determine which companies to send to compete on the national stage. At the national level, the nominees are reviewed by more than 38 judges from across the country. They choose the finalists who will be invited to compete for the coveted CSEA award. TP Mechanical competed in the 500,001-700,000 annual working hours category.
TP Mechanical has earned numerous awards and accolades for its rigorous safety programs that go above and beyond industry standards. In 2012, the company earned the ABC Safety Employer of the Year Award, the ABC/OSHA Step Platinum Level Safety Achievement Award, the ABC Step Level V Award and the AGC Safety Certificate of Commendation.
