PISCATAWAY, N.J. — The nation’s sexiest plumbers will soon be viewed as champions of their profession as American Standard launches its Search for America’s Sexiest Plumber Contest to promote its new Champion toilet and to pay tribute to the skilled professionals who work to fix America’s toilets.

Twelve Sexiest Plumber finalists will be selected to appear in a 2005 wall calendar. The calendar will include photos of each finalist posed alongside a Champion toilet, and will include fun facts about the plumber and the fixture From there, Americans will have a chance to cast their vote for the sexiest plumber of them all, who will win a free trip for two to Super Bowl XXXIX in Jacksonville, Florida, on February 6, 2005.

The national search for America’s Sexiest Plumber is being held in partnership with the Plumbing-Heating-Cooling Contractors-National Association .

The contest is not all about sex appeal, however. A panel of American Standard and plumbing industry experts will evaluate entrants based on personality and plumbing experience and expertise. Plumbers who thought they have what it takes visited the American Standard booth at ISH-NA to fill out a brief questionnaire and have a preliminary snapshot taken.

Profiles of the 12 finalists will be posted on http://www.americanstandard-us.com, where Americans will have the chance to vote for the plumber they think is the sexiest. The plumber with the most votes goes to the Super Bowl and, of course, has bragging rights to the title.

In January American Standard will unveil the calendar and announce the winner at an event in New York City. All twelve finalists will be present to autograph calendars for adoring fans.
